HOW DO WE HELP PEOPLE UNDERSTAND A NEW ‘WORKING’ CONCEPT?
3RD WARD was at the forefront of the shared working space movement that is now ubiquitous. When we met the team, they had grown to offer the maker community a combination of work and studio space, educational and vocational opportunities and social and community-building programs – all within their original location in Brooklyn. On the eve of launching their first new property in Philly, they were having trouble clearly articulating what the brand was all about.
LISTEN TO THEIR VILLAGE. Because 3RD WARD was built around their community, we solicited input and feedback from all angles: staff, members (current and former) and prospective clients. From this wealth of information, we distilled a positioning that reflected the history of the brand and laid the groundwork for their expansion. We created a vibrant visual language that maintained consistency while inviting unique, local expressions.
