HOW DO WE MAKE A GIFT CARD BUSINESS MORE MEANINGFUL TO CONSUMERS?

The Challenge

Spafinder came to us as a brand known mainly for two things: helping consumers find and book spa services, and offering gift cards that can be redeemed at thousands of partner locations around the world. While Spafinder played a valuable role in helping its partners acquire new customers, its own relationship with the end consumer was faltering and limited by the misconception that the brand was only about spas.


The Solution

CREATE A WELLNESS DESTINATION TO ENGAGE CONSUMERS ALL YEAR ROUND. Recognizing consumers’ increased desire for balance and wellbeing in their daily lives, we pivoted the brand towards everyday wellness, greatly expanding opportunities for engagement all year round. Building an identity around Spafinder Wellness 365 allowed us to dispel misconceptions that Spafinder’s offering was specific to spas, broadening its appeal and creating a lifestyle brand with far greater relevance to its target.
